Sports Massage
Sports Massage is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, ligaments and tendons.
What are the benefits of Sports Massage?
While the physical and psychological benefits of participating in regular exercise such as CrossFit are vast, any form of repetitive exercise can lead to a build up of tension in the muscles, ligaments and tendons. As well as causing pain, this excessive tension can also have a negative effect on the biomechanics of the joints resulting in decreased mobility and thus reduced performance. Sports massage works by manually mobilizing these soft tissue structures to increase blood flow enhance lymph drainage, breakdown adhesions and release tension. Regular treatment with sport massage can help to reduce the risk of injury as well as accelerating healing post injury, improve mobility and flexibility, and enhance overall performance.
